Drawing, Painting, Sculpture
I am...
A bass player gone deaf and deranged. (Happily!) Finding greater satisfaction now in making visual art with whatever is at hand. Art school background and formal training consist of getting booted out of high school art class (1979). Immensely grateful to all artists of all stripes from whom I've been informed, inspired and illuminated.
About my artwork
I believe that somewhere out there are some very wealthy people who, by merely owning some of these original works of art, would find their lives enriched in a multitude of untold ways while simultaneously providing me the opportunity to unburden them of a just portion of their massive wealth.
Artists I like
.Paul Klee, Heironymous Bosch, Joe Coleman, Kurt Shwitters, R. Diebenkorn, Joel P. Witkins, Pollock, Max Ernst, Egon Schiele, JM Basquiat, Bruegel, David Wojnarowicz, Joseph Cornell, Degas, Diane Arbus and many more
Interests
History, especially N.Y. history, plants, animals, insects, Yiddish slang, hoboes, psychic phenomenon, paranormal activity, criminals, ritual magick, jazz of the 20's and 30's, horror films of the 70's and circus sideshows
What exhibitions are good at the moment?
My friend Tommy stuck pictures of Bush and Cheney, glued onto cardboard and popsicle sticks, into the many piles of dogshit on his block. : Huntington st., Brooklyn.
The centre of the artworld is
nowhere and everywhere
