About my artwork
i am interested in narratives that span across walls, going back and forth while crossing with other narratives, and the characters that inhabit them. i try and make these characters humorous with an undercurrent of tragedy, they love, hate and misunderstand each other as their scenarios are captured in moments that make up the larger narrative. these moments are made up of various things such as overheard conversations, dreams, little observations and neurotic tendencies.
Artists I like
juan munoz, ham jin,marcel dzama,antony gormley,henry darger,thomas demand,bill viola,david shrigley,neil farber,kim dingle
Interests

bad drunken dancing

okay, so i know the book i was telling you about is still kind of expensive...but here's the amazon link where you can find some used books as well http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h_/203-2003156-0379961?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Pictures+Showing+What+Happens+on+Each+Page+of+Thomas+Pynchon%27s+Novel+Gravity%27s+Rainbow&Go.x=0&Go.y=0&Go=Go
hope this helps! i'm glad to hear that you like my site. i am a very non-political person in the traditional sense, so i am trying to do projects that force me to discover new things and relay my thoughts visually. i figure there is no way i would ever want to sit down and read through newspapers (as bad as that may sound)...but i would definitely want to stop and check out some sweet poster or photograph or something that included some sort of political message...so i thought i would just make a new quick project each week that attempts to do that...it's really just my solution to having no idea how to become involved in our upcoming election in a way that interests me, while also kind of forcing me to become more educated about important issues...

anyway...hope you can maybe purchase that book now. you should check you www.youworkforthem.com there are so many great books on that site. i have to avoid going to it too often because i end up wanting to buy about 10 books everytime i look at it!

hi chris...i really enjoy your work. you may already know of the artist zac smith, but if not, you should check out some of his work -- i really like his book 'Pictures Showing What Happens on Each Page of Thomas Pynchon's Novel Gravity's Rainbow'...your drawings remind me somewhat of his. all the best.
