Enigmatic landscapes charged with psychological resonance…. An impressive combination of methodical observation and technical draughtsmanship matched by a mature understanding of the medium and just the right amount of spontaneity and freedom give these studies a real sense of urgency, energy and vitality.

Nottingham eh? Just up the road, ish..
I'm tramping up to Scunthorpe tomorrow to chuck some of those paintings at the people from 20-21..oh joy...
that is quite a compliment. I'll meet you half way - it's hangs together well but it is very minimal for figurative work.
Quick note!!!! In retrospect both you and Michael Bowdidge were both correct. The Banzini piece (yellow/assembled parts/clutter) got the same feedback from my peers at our show: 'lots of energy but much clutter'. You were also right that about work on paper - I sold over 6 works on paper and made over a month rent on them!!!! My father was very keen about your comments last month as you work as a professional art teacher.
So I have split the two. More work on paper and a move to more minimal expressive pieces on canvas - let the subject appear naturally rather than too much overworking. I did sell two canvases at our show. I still paint on the floor of which am proud. Also getting into carving wood.
Big thanks from Luke
Ditto the Bladerunner - been a while since I saw that too... Nice of you to drop by for an earful :) Some new stuff in the pipeline, one track which is kind of a krautrock/music concrete hybrid, and another one which is more straight forward electronica, though God only knows when I'll actually have time to get them finished, as they are a lot more 'constructed' than most of the XP stuff, so they take a lot longer to do...
Take care old bean, have fun tomorrow!
