Hugo Paquete has developed an exploratory course into visual arts and new media, exploring the complex relationship between man and the real and their language, perception and technological paradigms. His works transport us to a purified and synthesized language, with the intent of portraying a structuralist aesthetics of mental landscapes, trying a more conceptualist relationship with objects, in which from departing logic we attain abstraction. Project SSTFM (synthetic sound to fit mind) comes in the development of audio-installation and performative research he has realized. Exploring the relation between space and communication, with complex sound structures, transporting us to journeys of recognition of sound while a physical, tangible, tactile matter. Sound art In my sound and installation research, I try to develop a minimalist aesthetics, recurring only to the potential character of sonic situationism, that sometimes is constructed for a given physical space. My aim is to develop a physical and psychological sound experience, distancing the receptor to a sonic universe, without a directly induced image, leaving him in an open space to his reactivity and potentiating an experience of rupture with the contemporary media society, where images proliferate. This research is a point of resistance that intends to construct with the receptor's sensory system an image of spatial music elaborated according to some acoustics principles, distance and rhythm, thus building a mental and physical experience according to the frequencies used. In my work I explore concepts that go from the reality to the abstractive elements from exploring their symbolic dimension and the form that we recognize them in there spatial and cognitive dimension. The importance of this research is the sound situations that I construct exploring concepts about perception and space knowledge and the boundaries about the human perception and art that are fundamental to the perceptive theories that are important to the understanding of the visual world that surround us with all the divergent information. My sound work is a contribution to the perceptive theories and to the organisation and understanding of the visual and sound phenomenology's, exploring the human aesthetic, and the contemporary universes of the media. Sound installation and object installation
Since 2001 I have been working on an expanded concept of sound space and communication not only incorporating space according to its spatial characteristics in the narrow sense (acoustic, architectonic, sculptural, perspective, communicative and ambient).
Beyond this my installation works conceive of space in its site-specificity, usually existing in several layers: a social layer, the communicative between emission and reception, a situational layer exploring the concept of understanding of the reality and perception.
This concept of space is thus not limited to interior spaces and architectonic-formal relationships, a position which naturally also defines my working methods: only subjective, on-site research fields a explore from concrete sound the understanding of that sounds out of the spatial contest.
In some installations I explore this concept with several sound speakers and players giving different sound signal to the space to construct a more complex situation according with the conceptual explanation of the communicative space interception and brain selective information.
This concept explores and process of work installation I call sound situations.
This means first that I open myself up to situations – usually in public spaces – in order to sense their site-specific tensions and to draw them out in all their possible relationships.
Secondly, I alter these situations in order to make them denser through intensification. The concept can be defined as articulating the space, the site; for this reason I prefer to work with site-specific acoustic and visual material found at the site, but also introduce foreign material when it serves to reinforce communication with the site and its occupants and visitors.
In this process of work I am interesting in explore the knowledge from the reality and the process of communication that go beyond the common perceptive of that elements, I use elements from communication to understand the conscience level that we have in the contemporaneity, exploring the notion of space habitability I can construct tension with the public and make a distension of there sound perception of concrete elements in the reality.
Following the ‘conscious creation of situations’ conceived by Guy Debord (International Situationists) in the 1950s.
In general in sound work and installation I explore a very minimalist process of representation in some of my work I don't use any image support, because I want explore the creative power of the sound situation, which I construct for some exact spaces.
Exploring with frequencies that are the visual representation of the sound and the waves that are the physic part of the sound constructing the physically and psychological art experience.
With this sound and visual emptiness I want manifest a resistance to the free image word of the contemporary media society, making a introspection that goes directly to the perceptive system headed for explore the imaginative dimension of the visual images, exploring the process when the receptor use is visual and sound knowledge to appreciate the work and give a visual and sound suggestion to the represented concept.
Following this process I Denney the image in some of my work and I tray raise an ambiance that is propitious to the reflexive process of thinking in the visual interpretation of the sound, is like experimenting a mystic situation of the mental labour. With the objective of demonstrating the multiplicity of interpretation and concepts in art.

Immersive video installations
My work is often presented in dark spaces meant to immerse the audience.
Please enjoy the mixture of words, sounds, images, and videos and understand that they come up short compared to experiencing the work itself...
In video my interest is focus in the exploration of strong symbolic images that can represent moments of physiological tension and reflexive mental exercise, about communication and understanding of language and information. And make a reflexive analysis from the medium that I am exploring and is limits focus in is interior language.
Other of my interest the video immersive installation when I can develop interaction through the space and work the video as an sculptural element to construct communicability between divergent images, actions and sounds into the scene composition.
My video installations are construct to pass subliminal concepts about the contemporanety and the human capability to understand the information overload and the mass manipulative massages, and fouling this concept I construct situation that apparently are not violent but they past some broken massages and unfinished codes to broken the communication and provoke disconnected filings.
And in this way my video conceptual analyses go from the human perceptive elements to the analyses of the medium and there internal structure.
Photography
With this medium I am interested in analyse the process of function of the machine and the possibility to transform the reality with the technical artificiality of this mechanism.
In my photo work I tray analyse the capability of transform a common element image in something different exploring in the object the possibility of a mental recombination of there value and contextual function, and fowling this process of manipulative reality plus understanding I explore different photographic resists some of them I analyse very carefully the place and the object when I go make the photograph because some of my works they are painting of light.

I can say that my work is an interdisciplinary research and I work different medias with the objective of representing my conceptual vision of the contemporanety world and there evolution pardons, and for that I explore different techniques like video, sound, object, but I am always interested in work with a close relation with the space when I go present my visual research.
Some persons call me media artist other say that I am a mixed media artist for me all this concepts can be integrated in my work process but in the end I am just a visual experimentalist and a project situations artist.
