About my artwork

FERREIRA PROJECTS is a new emerging gallery and creative hub, based in Shoreditch, London, with a focus on discovering promising, multi-disciplinary artists.

Alongside a constantly evolving programme of group and solo exhibitions the gallery is also developing a series of different creative strands, including an artist in residency programme, an online gallery, a programme of artists’ talks and the publishing of catalogues and artists’ books.

Our aim is to cultivate the best new artistic talent, providing a platform for exceptional practitioners to showcase their work to a wider audience. FERREIRA PROJECTS is committed not just to promoting artists’ current work, but also to building and nurturing strong relationships with each artist and supporting their continuing professional development.

FERREIRA PROJECTS hosted its inaugural exhibition in November 2007. From the offset it was clear that the gallery would be a dynamic new addition to the East London Art Scene. To date the gallery has hosted six group exhibitions including the highly successful and provocative PURE series. The series showcased art in its purest form; art where the prominence is given to the aesthetic rather than the theoretic, the experiential rather than the conceptual and play before pretension.

These group shows have enabled FERREIRA PROJECTS to engage with a diverse group of artists who work in a variety of different media and styles. The gallery will now concentrate on delivering a programme of solo shows, predominantly featuring the work of artists whose work stood out and made an impact during the group exhibitions.
