About my artwork

"A rationally predetermined process always prefigures Rui
Ferreira’s work and is the motor of the serial procedure
to follow. The complexity it then gains is gradual; it is
not present at the outset. In other words, the process
involves a start-up stage with clearly defined contours
that loses its clarity as the work progresses.We must stress,
however, that is it the artist himself who invents the
process and then commandeers it, without sidestepping
the inevitable accident, which he takes advantage of in
accordance with his methodology."
