I am...: Just starting to put my work out there, and would love to make some connections and find new inspiration. If I'm lucky, maybe I can find some people who'd like to see my art displayed in their domicile...

About my artwork: I make things I would like to see. It is hard for me to say that "I am an artist," because so many of the people I meet who say things like that seem so ridiculous and pretentious to me, almost caricatures of people.. I am just a girl who likes to sit down and make things sometimes, and who likes to go out and take photographs. If someone else happens to like, or wants to buy it, that's just a happy accident and nice surprise. I am particularly inspired by plants and animals and skeletal structures. With photography, I love to play. I enjoy documentary photography and also the manipulation or reality, time and place. All work is available for sale as prints, and some as originals. Please just let me know what you'd like!

Interests: Lomography, watercolors, decoupage, travel, film, culinary arts, skeletons, oddities, etc.

Open to all artists in all fine arts media we seek to recognize outstanding quality and diversity in the arts.

The 2009 IJC is open to all artists worldwide, age 18 and older. All works must be original. Entries in the following medias will be accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed media, Printmaking, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Photography.

Entry Deadline February 15th 2009.

A solo show next winter 2009 at Bluebird Art House and $1500 to the winner. 1 work in the show for each one of the 3 runner up.
