I am...: Susan Brown is a grumpy cantankerous artist. An American who lives in England. Any art education was far too long ago to be relevant. She has been a Liverpool artist for longer than she wants to admit and is listed on the art in Liverpool website. Living on a coastline means that beach scenes and depictions of water feature quite a lot in her work. You won’t find photos of her as if you approached her on a bad day you might risk getting bitten. She has work in collections around the globe, in loads of private homes and has frequent exhibitions of her work

What exhibitions are good at the moment?: Klimt at Tate Liverpool still astounds. Liverpool is alive with good exhibitions this summer. Come and see!

Open to all artists in all fine arts media we seek to recognize outstanding quality and diversity in the arts.

The 2009 IJC is open to all artists worldwide, age 18 and older. All works must be original. Entries in the following medias will be accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed media, Printmaking, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Photography.

Entry Deadline February 15th 2009.

A solo show next winter 2009 at Bluebird Art House and $1500 to the winner. 1 work in the show for each one of the 3 runner up.

I've decided to be like Michael Phelps, the swimmer in the Olympics, and keep my earphones in all of the time while at school and maybe at home, too. I don't want to hear anyone's crap. This is my last semester and I just want to go in to my studio and do my own thing.

I love the Japanese orchids. I'd love to see it in person.
