'Live performance' is the driving force in theatre.....and life. My background encompasses dance, theatre (as performer, writer, director, scenic designer and producer of new work); and in the earlier stages of my artistic endeavors, the visual art form -- specifically wall murals and background designs for theatre and commercial entities.
Over the past decade I have incorporated elements of movement, sound and color into the 'video art form'. I have designed projection art compositions for theatre productions and exterior & interior installations with live performance. I have created various video pieces for Internet delivery only, and I have revised some of my projection art projects as 'samplers' of my work to reach a wider audience via the Web.
I continue to explore the possibilities of creating a seamless bridge between the immediacy of live performance and captured imagery & sound - realizing that even with a live-camera feed and on-the-spot 'realtime' manipulation - once image/sound is seen & heard beyond the dimension of the 'actual' - it is no longer in-the-moment.
