About my artwork: I´m interested about the contenporary concepts of subject and identity
Since Nietsche and Freud subject is no longer stable but a multiplicity of masks
As the contemporary concept of subject it has been made up from the ruins of the project of modernity, I also use to carve my sculptures recycled wood coming from demolishions of old buildings.
What it was before the proud joist of a building becomes in my work just a fragment that helps in the construction of a fragmented identity.

Some of my sculptures are conceived as instalations (like San Sebastian and the ilusion of the mass) where spectators can play with them and while playing they can become aware of the differents roles we play in contenporary society.

I´m also interested in childhood as the place where we start to select the fragments that will form our future fragmented identity.
I use dolls to create paradoxical images as the two dolls wrestling that is a reflection of violence as a part of our human identity from the very childhood.
I also use dolls (in the serie new doll) in order to attempt psycological portraits (Alice, Hamlet, Giacometti, Leroy Johnson...)
Woodcarved dolls and object trouvee join toghether in those attempts of portrait that as any portrait are as well psycological selfportraits
