If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Printmaking, Sculpture
I am...
New to the professional art scene. A student at UC Davis. 6'2''. Determined. Cautious. Gay. Rebellious. Steadfast. Honest. Helpful. Curious. Whimsical. Sadistic. Friendly. Ambitious. Clumsy. Awkward. Open minded. Meditative. Surprisingly sober. Crazy.

You know what? just look at my stuff. If you wanna get to know me email me or something.
About my artwork
I sculpt with clay and I print. I like to experiment with technique and medium. I create non-functional ceramic work, but at the same time I don't condescend to potters, and I expect the same from them.

Chemicals are a form of significance to me. Like alchemists of the medieval times, I use chemicals as analogies for things ie. iron engenders male, copper engenders female, etc.

I like to hide images within others. I call the blatant images in my work "primary images" and the hidden images "secondary images". Secondary images can be formed by highlights, shadows, look like part of a primary image.

Currently I sculpt a lot about Greek Mythology, but I want to move into contemporary subject matter after I develop my aesthetics more.
Artists I like
Salvador Dali, M.C. Escher, Larry Kagan, Cathy Butterly, Erte, Keith Thompson
Interests
Alchemy, chemistry, science, mysticism.

If you talk to me about glaze formulation, I will easily get carried away, so be careful :).
What exhibitions are good at the moment?
California Clay Exhibitioin
The centre of the artworld is
New York

thanks for your message. I love your work and what you say about it. Your idea of secondary image, in relation with alchimy, is great.
And I hope that you are not too much sober....
