About my artwork
Already the first meeting with Stropnik gives us a feeling of duality. Dressed in tuttifrutti coloureful overalls he indicates an unconventional artistic soul and a dynamic person, but only until he surprises with his leisurely language and idle motion. Originally from rural knapper environment he undertakes a journey into the world of urban problems, which get their most realistic figure when his TV breaks down or when he's desperatly seeking a bag for a vacuum cleaner.

He is not interested in money, however, he wants to have enough of it. Corporations disguist him, unless it's about sponsors. He wants to keep his privacy but still likes to bare himself. The image is evil, but he extremely enjoys in presenting his own image. He would like to not give a fuck about anything, but that doesn't work. He is too engaged.

Stropnik personalizes modern society, modern man and all present and future »us«. The artistic bluff becomes reasonable in his artistic work where he juggles a content with an image, he uses the space to supplement profundity and makes us move within the time dimensions with his video. So in this multidimensional line a man is represented as a prisoner of products and image, a modern cyborg, who can only be upgraded in relation to his master – in the form of a corporation, a creator or both in the same image.

And finally a piece of advice: when you meet him in the street, be sincere with him. Don't try to be a dude because he doesn't like one. Do not subject yourself to him as he ignores people like that. A natural instinct for equity baffles him to feign. Besides, he already realized that it's only right to be surrounded by those with whom you really get along well. And don't forget: because he does give a fuck.

hello,
I don't really know howt to place my piece, I sort of use my gut instict. lEverything around the piece, the room, the shape of the space, colors and other forms should be considered, I guess

i think humor is one of the most powerful tools an artist can use to mediate an experience, but i think if it is used only to recreate what is, if it is only used to create capital than it becomes useless.

Hi Mladen, thanks for the kind comments.Regarding finishing work I can say that everything that I have done could be touched up or tweaked somehow even now!.I am rarely 100% satisfied with a piece & find it difficult to approach one as a 'finished product',but there has to be a walk away point hasn't there? It does drive me mad though.Perhaps it's simply a form of Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour.I recently 'finished' a mural in a gallery & spent around 2 hours just pacing back & forth looking at it just to make sure it felt completed.I knew that to add anymore detail would have marred it,but I still had to fight to stop myself!
Thanks again for taking the time out to look at my work.

Z
