About my artwork

I work with both Visual Art and and Sound.
The category's displayed here on artreview is too limited but I've chosen Digital, Drawing and Photography at the moment.

Originally I was a painter [from the Art Academy in CPH] Today it's Photo/Drawing/Digital Hybrids as well as 'clean' Photographic work I'm doing. Clean in the sense that they're what the camera 'took' without the extra manipulation or editing that I otherwise adore using [in my hybrids].

The Refrain series [work in progress] is an example of this 'clean' body of work. It's a jump into the emotions related to the past, the lived and lost parts of our lives - scenes from the memory bank, if you will.

I have another project with visual work at the moment, titled: The Decorated Children. I recently had an exhibit of the first set from this series, but more is underway.

I'm part of the Exiting: Exquisite Corpse Video Project, I believe it's the most active online group here on artreview, in the firm hands of Kika. This will be my first step into actually combining the visual work and soundwork I have done separately for so many years. A new adventure...

Interests

Music!!!
A lot of genres - from renaissance, over romantic, via avantgarde and experimental to pop/rock through so called world music - and back again.
There's a huge output of classic gems [in all genres] put out on albums, and it's so sad to see the world is going *.mp3 and accepting the loudness war.
