Sorg, I was a bit dramatic. Sorry, Christopher. My reaction comes from hearing so many stories about such places, all reeked of taking cruel and financial advantage of young and/or new artists sho... Continue

If you are serious about having your work seen by peers and those who are able to help you grow and establish yourself and your work as an artist.... then I say: RUN, do not walk, away from any and... Continue

Dawn, I recall the Florence Biennale being discussed on the Saatchi Forum page. You may want to go over there and look it up in the archives. Somehow I remember it being reported that the Florence... Continue

How incredible, it must have been a premonition dream. I have had similar ones, they do not always come true immediately, but years later they have ! just like yours.
The boys are great with Mr Cat, Mr Cat is such a free spirited soul, he is the most adoreable creature outside, apart from the odd lashin when you least expect, but thats his age too.
I would think he is about 6 months old at a guess,
He is full of those big white tick things that latch on to cats and suck their blood, I pulled two off him, but he has another two bless him.
He just lashes out too much, I'll wait a day or two whilst he settles down.x
The group is growing Oak by the day, I am marketing and networking it now along with Frances and a few young Uni Student around the UK.
Give 'A' my love and hugs to you both.x
Hi Oak, Just thought I'd send you a pic of CO-CO (MR CAT) actually drinking and eating Lancashire Hot Pot with good Spikey in the hall way, well just about in the hall way.
He is doing well, but he likes to bite and scratch when you least expect him to.
He actually waled in the hall today and through in to the lounge, straight up on to the window sill and back out again.x
Spike is so laid back, he has a calming effect on the youngster thank god.
Oak, i better get off to bed before the sun comes up again, I'll be burning myself out again.
Thoughly enjoying life more now, yet I have not mixed any paint, just clicked and climbed the Hills of Lancashire.
Catch you soon sweet heart.x
Dawn, the boys and Spikey, Co-Co ( Mr Cat)xx
Guess what my dear!
I have adopted a stray cat last night, it has been sniffing around for weeks, i knew he was wild, but I didn't realise how wild he was.
He has just started to come to me on day three of feeding him, but he has never been in a house before as he made it very clear when I tried to lock him in today.
He threw himself at the windows, the plant pots went crashing, my prized orniments went as well and I ended up with a gash in my arm that it looked like a lion had done it!
He looks so sweet as well.
He loves us, he will get there.
His name is CO-CO.x
I secretly call him "MR CAT".XX
Would you care to leave your name here dear?
Oh Oak sweet heart are we going to have fun.xxxx
I'm hoping to get Galleries worldwide intrested in showing our work.

I have to say.....thoroughly enjoyed your letter. The level of eccentricity is enormous as your statements on 'reality' were abundantly (with a capitol A) hilarious. Truly hilarious. I think I can relate to being hear on earth but never actually being here because I really am in a very different dimension (as I feel strongly that the idea of 'society' is, essentially, a joke).
You raised some very interesting questions and points. Actually your paintings have got me thinking to move slightly away from symbols and more towards dream like surrealist ideas. I need a couple of days to chew it over. When I respond to your last letter it will be a good one.
bravo ciao bandini bandioni luko
Likewise it is very nice to make your acquaintance. I have looked at what you are doing and what you write about it. I think we may have a thread to pick up that could grow into a larger concept that might influence other people. My favourite piece is The Salon which I have already rated. It makes me feel like I'm floating in a dreamlike jazz lounge. Or maybe it's more like stream of consciousness poetry but made on canvass. Yes that's it.
You mention the words paranormal and metaphysical on your site. I have spent about 14 years studying the metaphysical through various travels, dance circles, installations, studio productions based on cues (an idea that i learned from the books of Carlos Castaneda). I funnel those ideas through a sort of modern, minimalistic symbolism. Like yourself I like to invite the viewer to find some part of them, or their idea of the world in my work. Also your paintings have a very surreal quality. I am somewhat interested if you like the paintings of Joan Miro. I very openly mimic and echo his symbols, partly as an offering to his existence, partly as a therapeutic way to find meaning in symbology itself. Unlike you I have little ability to paint real life objects so I tend to take symbols or even small creatures and metamorphose them in layers and using different materials to make a piece that has impact and cohesion.
Lastly, speaking on the metaphysical. Check out the work and writings of 48073. Remarkable. We bounced back and forth a thread discussing the origin of zero, the meaning of zero, the symbol of zero, the difference between zero and nothing in speach and also theory, starting with zero (or close to it) and making something. Even further - the idea of 'is it possible to make something from nothing?? Also bouncing the ideas of cutting and formatting a piece of work until it begins to shape itself.
Here is a question for you. Are your paintings direct outputs of your dreams or are they also speaking on what you see in real life?
Look forward to hear from you.
Best from Luke :)
