Just pray that no one stills them. Once something is on the Internet, we have no total control over it. Today even kids can remove watermarks from digital photographs with cracked "freebie" of Photoshop, so... what's to tell about the big con artists? All you can do is be good in a bad society and at least try to expect them to behave, but... hungry people are resourceful, too. For example, I heard that some of my videos and paintings are sold on a flea market in a very poor country--OK, let me not say where. Just add a watermark and purposefully do not post high resolution JPGs. That's all I can say. Well, I am sort of "pleased" that a gypsy guy likes my stuff and sells it; that speaks something of my work, doesn't it? "No one comes to rob empty barns," my art teacher used to say in the 1970s ;-)))

Report from Japanese Artist Exhibition in Hungary

Japanese Contemporary Art Exhibition 2008 October 4-25

The exhibition's opening was a great success. The Hungarian State Television 1 and the Duna TV. has been filming the opening and made a long reportage of the exhibition. Hormone Sekine (artist) from Tokyo made a performance which made the event even more special. The G5 luxury and fashion magazine and other magazines took a lot of pictures and we will be in their next edition in November. (Opera Gallery)

Open to all artists in all fine arts media we seek to recognize outstanding quality and diversity in the arts.

The 2009 IJC is open to all artists worldwide, age 18 and older. All works must be original. Entries in the following medias will be accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed media, Printmaking, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Photography.

Entry Deadline February 15th 2009.

AWARD

A solo show next winter 2009 at Bluebird Art House and $1500 to the winner. 1 work in the show for each one of the 3 runner up.
