I am...: in a position to create photography and paintings on a full time basis. I am a long term artist. This is my career.

My mission is to have my work in international museums, public and private collections. To create beautiful memorable artworks, bring joy for generations, and inspire others to continue the art of gorgeous photographic arts, is my ultimate dream goal.

About my artwork: Clean, and elegant photography, heavily influenced by classical black and white photographers Herb Ritts, Helmut Newton, Avedon, Horst P. Horst, and lovely works by Irving Penn. I would like to re-stimulate this trend in todays contemporary art world.

BOOK: After a long process beginning in October 2007, the design of Debra Frieden's book of works is complete. This first book is on order and set to arrive any day. 202 pages, 10 x 13" of rich, oversized pages, tucked within a hardcover.

NEW WORK: New works will be unveiled shortly. This will be combined with a continuation of a planned shoot in the Nevada desert, in May with Strong Men. These men are best known for their balancing act, using their own bodies to manipulate into self balanced poses, while rotating into different positions. They are seen in many venues typical of Cirque Du Soleil, Circus Circus and others. This is a private collaboration between the performers and Debra. With total control over the creative license creating art + form, it should provide an interesting and visually stunning photography.
