I am...: I was born in Panamá, Republic of Panamá Dec. 25 1965. My descendents migrated from Columbia to Panamá in the 1950’s; Rodrigo Silva Klever and Hilda Salazar Salas. Having an older brother and sister, Rodrigo Silva Salazar and Maria Elena Silva Salazar, I grew up in a loving home. I graduated in Business Administration from Panamá University in 1989. Later, I studied photography at Ganexa’s Art Institute of Panamá in 1992. During this time, I learned the art of watching the World with different perspectives. My eyes see more than just the first impression.

About my artwork: I love to discover new shapes in every single picture I take. My images display including different silhouettes. Nature provides me more beauty than I can ever imagine. I focus more on the details of every object. Each square centimeter shows me a different perspective of life, form, color, shape and of course beauty!

Open to all artists in all fine arts media we seek to recognize outstanding quality and diversity in the arts.

The 2009 IJC is open to all artists worldwide, age 18 and older. All works must be original. Entries in the following medias will be accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed media, Printmaking, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Photography.

Entry Deadline February 15th 2009.

AWARD

A solo show next winter 2009 at Bluebird Art House and $1500 to the winner. 1 work in the show for each one of the 3 runner up.
