I am...: An artist and illustrator working in various mediums.

About my artwork: I am particularily intrigued with what goes on inside our minds. I work part time in the field of Mental Health and have been inspired often with what is said to me. I interpret words, phrases and feelings and put them on paper as images or as colours and shapes. I try to look beyond what is being 'said' to what is not. Narratives often have hidden meaning, art does too.

Artists I like: Kandinsky, Alberto Magnelli,Paul Gauguin,Pablo Picasso,Calum Frazer,

Interests: Art, obviously! Sculpture, Typography, Psychology, A good book and good music.

The centre of the artworld is: nowhere and everywhere

Exhibitions

I went with a bunch of students today to an exhibition by Tracey Emin. Its her first Uk Retrospective exhibition. Her work covered the whole ground floor of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and spanned her whole career. It included paintings, embroidered blankets and installations.
