If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Drawing, Installation, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture
I am...
Currently working on a body of work in the painting/drawing area.
I am looking for an senior art teaching position to cover costs in my studio practice.
About my artwork
I paint using mainly oil and have a contemporary abstraction feel to my current works. I am working towards an exhibition that I will be curating & collaborating with another printmaker in Hong Kong. There is just not enough time in a day for my art creating and my mind is full of future works.
Artists I like
I appreciate all artists works and favor no one in particular. I have studied numerous artists from all the isms and find something special in everyone's artworks. I am very conscious of the need to recognize the emerging artist both young and mature age as I feel they have a large amount of talent to give.
Interests
I play the piano/Harp and love to read art history. I enjoy walking and playing with my dogs. A usual scenario for an artist don't you thing? I enjoy cooking and traveling. I really enjoy meeting other artists and discussing relevant art issues etc.
What exhibitions are good at the moment?
Picasso is showing at the GoMA in Brisbane. Lots of good works on show at the IMA and QAG and galleries spread around Brisbane.
The centre of the artworld is
New York, my studio

Thank you for your comments. Perhaps you are the first one who has mentioned the name of Picasso in reference to my drawings. I take it in a good spirit because Picasso was indeed a good artist. The core of my inspiration is rooted in the oriental spirit.
Thank you for joining the group. It's a good platform to care and share among the artist community.
Take care
