About my artwork

"Under its outer mystical appearances of collective prayer with propitiatory virtues, of esoteric fiction, Caroline Breton’s intervention offers a sphere of freedom and engagement, where action leads to a state of Being. Through video, she opens onto different territories and temporalities, dilating space and the realm of possibilities, stimulating the imaginaries. Though here, the performative approach is mainly a means of making discoveries by starting with unexpected parameters, where one abandons what is being searched for what is being found. She (like us) risks herself to Serendipity, this attitude which consists of rebounding on the happy and fortuitous consequences of an encounter or experience, this English terminology in which Joël Garaud sees the poetic alliance of compassion and serenity."
