If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?: Drawing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking

I am...: An artist / art teacher - I also manage a small art company. This incorporates my colleagues and my son (willow sculptor and photographer) who bring a mix of styles to the business. I also work alongside my 'maker' husband whose input is 3D metal and woodwork, canvas stretching and bespoke picture framing.

About my artwork: My work is often abstract, fluid and expressionist. It is infused with colour and willowy lines using black indian ink. I also use observational drawing and photography to inform my work. My style is developing and changing constantly. At present I'm looking at natural forms, using plants as my influence in a figurative and semi abstract style. The theme of distortion has always been the greatest influence for me with all these other styles informing my work.

Artists I like: Egon Schiele: Hundertwasser: Willem de Kooning: Julian Schnaebel: Lucien Freud....

Interests: Photography: drawing (obsessionally) writing: reading: Spanish language.

What exhibitions are good at the moment?: Anything and everything and everything by Katheryn Ensall at the Gill George gallery, London.
Mathew Ritchie at the White Cube Gallery, Hoxton Square, London.
