About my artwork
I am creating mixed media pieces that are not quite paintings, are not quite prints and involve a good bit of sewing. I am very interested in using materials that are not typically qualified as 'art' materials and then using them as a painter would use oils.

When I paint I use acrylic, a very watery mixture, dries quick so I can add many layers at a sitting. I like the icon in a state of agitation. Max

Terrific work, I appreciate the quality and narrative very much, these formal ideas may be found in my work as well. Max

Hey Heidi, I think of my art making process as seasonal - there is environmental work - intervention and installation - which in turn creates documentation and installation. Then, coming from the experience in the environment, there is studio work - the paintings or now, the grids of painting ...

Hi Heidi,
Thank you for your comment. I am currently looking at labyrinths and mazes and how they affect our experience of time and personal space.

Hi Heidi, thanks for your thoughtful feedback about my work, I enjoyed looking at your images too. They have an appealing tactile quality, I like the interplay between the stitched patterning and figures. My sister is a costume historian, I'm going to pass your link to her, I think she'll enjoy your work too. take care!
