If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Painting, Sculpture
I am...
A 59 year old man who enjoys expressing myself through oil paint, bronze sculpture..(when I can afford it) and gilding my own frames.....
About my artwork
My work has been called "old master style" I guess that is because I taught myself to paint from those wonderful people. I generally paint people, some animal subjects, and rarely paint landscapes or still life paitings.
Artists I like
Odd Nerdrum, Salvidor Dali, Rembrandt, Agust Rodin, Michaelangelo, the old greek sculputors...anyone who is fluent in any kind of representational art who does it well.
Interests
Patinting...sculpture...drawing, travel, pets, some people....
What exhibitions are good at the moment?
any art museum in total.
The centre of the artworld is
my studio, nowhere and everywhere

Did you get the Private message I sent you on price for a print? I know i sent it but it seems to have vanished into nothingness. I'll rewrite and resend if "no". Do tell.

Don't worry JP - you wanted one from the Virgin in New York series -
those I sell separately as I do the Strangeness in the Garden series
I'll send you a price by private message.

JP - No this is the only post I've had from you but then I don't have a new york or invisible wonders video for you to have commented on. But I'm sure somebody has!!! I was only worried as the last I heard from you, you were expecting a visit from a large lady and a viking. Cause for concern - I thought.

It's your Catholic conscience that draws you back- it just never goes away. But I'm glad you like the image anyway. See why i suggested you see the whole series before buying? Although you may well decide on your original choice in the end. It will take a couple of weeks to get the series all up - as I am remaking each image as I post the last. My work in 2001 was not as sharp as it is today and I'd be deeply unhappy with the originals. Cheers JP

PS It takes me forever to convert from metric to something I can understand. I mean I known what a metre looks like but anything like 57 cms x 39 cms. No chance. It's reach for the ruler time!

JP I'll be putting up more of this series - so I'd say don't buy until you've seen what's what. That said you have chosen one of my favourite images from the series - a man of consummate taste, no doubt. This delay will also give me time to figure out what is the best (non commercial) price-for-friends I can give you. Mostly I print at 51 cm x 40 cms - sorry let me grab a ruler - to you that is 20 x 15.75 inches. I'd forgotten how quaint inches are!!! Only in America. Thanks again for your interest and kind comments.
