Hi, I started the group Chicago Artists union on artreview. Im trying to get all us Chicago people together in this group so that we can update each other on upcoming events and eventually curate some shows within the group online and in Chicago. If you know of any other people out here, invite them too. Right now im hunting people down one by one :)

Halo G-K,
Well, our next two months are solo exhibits by very talented ladies. Ms. Johnston is a masters program student. She is presenting her sculptural/installation view of disassembling the perception of domestic femininity of the mid-century and rebuilding it to fit the here-and-now (so to speak). Then in March we have an art educator of 30+ years whom also produces massive amounts of fine art. Ironically, this will be her first solo. Lots of surreal compositions in oil and many watercolors from studies of rather candid public/ social photo shots. One of my favorites of a "nuevo-riche" trampy looking wench in a leopard print teddy giving Tara the evil eye for taking her picture.
I (Christopher Gulick) will be up for Artropolis in April. I assume you will as well?
Will whomever reads this site be there? I'll be sure to stop in.
Chris
