I am...
an artist living in Dallas, Texas.
passionate.
trying to be fearless.
a free thinker.
a caring person.
a sometimes tortured soul and sometimes energetic motivator.
a believer.
a challenger.
a wife.
a mother.
a human seeking to intrepet and better the reality of life.
About my artwork
My artwork is a continually evolving and fluid motion. Like life, we must embrace new things, adapt to challenges, and push ourselves beyond the surface.
I love to repurpose items and turn some ordinary into something not so ordinary. I really get excited about large assemblage sculptures using recycled, repurposed, and/or found objects. I also love the layers and complexities of mixed media in a way that is an exploration for me.

Art is my therapy, my energizer, and my expression of how I see and experience the world. It's my fuel.

I love it when people tell me that my art somehow moved them - a smile, a thought, a feeling.

Art, to me, is a free-fall ----a submission, a release, boundless and open. Its the removal of intellectual analysis and preconceived barriers; an opening to the reality behind the door.
Artists I like
Rosalie Gascoigne, Sean Scully, Ellsworth Kelly, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Sol Lewitt, Jacob Dahlgren, Louise Nevelson, Mark Rothko, Andy Worhal.
These visionaries have given me the confidence to believe that the things I dream of creating aren't necessarily just craziness, but an expression of life and reality in a way that is interesting.
Interests
health, love, laughter, hot coffee, good wine
The centre of the artworld is
nowhere and everywhere

Thanks for your support Rosemary. I completed variation 25: Ikona (The Wave) of my 'Art of Still Life' series and have just started on an Intermezzo (to follow variation 25) which is inspired by reading an excellent bio of Coleridge by Richard Holmes.
