BLUEBIRD ART HOUSE AND ART&ARTISTS LA are pleased to announce the 1st INTERNATIONAL JURIED COMPETITION 2009.
Open to all artists in all fine arts media we seek to recognize outstanding quality and diversity in the arts.
The 2009 IJC is open to all artists worldwide, age 18 and older. All works must be original. Entries in the following medias will be accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed media, Printmaking, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Photography.
Entry Deadline February 15th 2009.
AWARD
A solo show next winter 2009 at Bluebird Art House and $1500 to the winner. 1 work in the show for each one of the 3 runner up.
like your list of artists... I have numbers 1, 3, 5 from you list on mine! Looks like you should add Joseph Bouys (wrong spelling but its something like that. I like the restraint in the gray work. Restraint is not my strong suit.
I´ve seen the five photos you added six hours ago. I love black & white pictures. I wonder... do you use colour film stock and develop it as black and white to get more shades of grey? Or do you use actual black and white film?
I like the small sample of images you´ve posted, but they provoke in me a feeling of sadness such as the one I experience whenever I see a film of Chaplin´s. Although I don´t know the setting where you took them, the atmosphere reminds me of a port and its docks.
