If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Conceptual, Installation, Photography, Sculpture, Video
I am...
Adjunct faculty at Corcoran College of Art in Washington DC and a working artist located (1/2 week) in Brooklyn.
About my artwork
In an effort to reveal the human desire for contact with the natural world, my work explores ideas for conceptual products. These products are designed to alleviate the hunger for the natural, primitive and bestial concerning the user whom resides in the built environment.
Artists I like
Andrea Zittel, Mark Dion, Luis Gispert, Liz Craft, Jake and Dinos Chapman, Tony Matelli, Liz Magor, Laura Owens, David Altmejd, Matthew Ronay.
Hi Jen! Thanks for your note! I have only been with the Corcoran for one year so I missed you by a few years. I also went to Cranbrook, small world!! I looked at your site; very nice work. I thought as I was looking, "this is the most contemporary exploration of nostalgia that I have seen yet!". What are you teaching at Drexel? I teach Sculpture and Core at the Corcoran. If you are in NY this weekend with no plans for Friday night, swing by Flux Factory in Long Island City, I will be exhibiting in a group show there: http://www.fluxfactory.org/

BTW I used to teach at the Corcoran until 2001 in Printmaking. Were you there then?
