- 37 and have decided lifes to short . i have been drawing and painting since i can remember. recently i have managed to find the time to loose myself purly in my painting.my art teacher some time ago told me you start painting again where you left off so i am hoping to make up for years and years of over materialism and the need to chase it. i have a long way to go but i have begun. that in intself is huge.
- About my artwork
- my art is mostly portraits of myself or my feelings. i recently put in a portraite for the bp awards and it was prompltly returned. its my first attempt at painting to a time scale. it didnt work very well i ended up doing it the morning of the last day of entries it was a disaster a bit like school homework. i now have begun a series of five mixed media paintings mostly nudes based on my imagination so lets see what happens.
- Artists I like
- i have not studied art nor to my disgrace have i been over the years intrested in seeing art.my knowlege is based on what i learnt at school which wasnt much so i cant say who i aspire to or like or dislike. very sad i know but art to me has always been personal and a part of me i havent wanted to explore to the extent that seeing other peoples freedom to express there lives has been quite off putting to say the least. i do belive i have grown up now and its time to explore.
- Interests
- i buy and renovate houses so i have no interest in diy. i enjoy yoga tai chi thats when i can be bothered to make it to the sports centre which at the moment is not often. i enjoy reading and travelling.
- What exhibitions are good at the moment?
- no idea . thats why i am here.

The 2009 IJC is open to all artists worldwide, age 18 and older. All works must be original. Entries in the following medias will be accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed media, Printmaking, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Photography.
Entry Deadline February 15th 2009.

A solo show next winter 2009 at Bluebird Art House and $1500 to the winner. 1 work in the show for each one of the 3 runner up.
