About my artwork: My sculpture pieces take me back to the imaginary worlds where I use to play as a child.
My sculptures invite us to surrender, drown in its weird beauty rather than to stand apart from it.
One’s mind will enter to be hypnotized, by an artificial paradise.

Open to all artists in all fine arts media we seek to recognize outstanding quality and diversity in the arts.

The 2009 IJC is open to all artists worldwide, age 18 and older. All works must be original. Entries in the following medias will be accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed media, Printmaking, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Photography.

Entry Deadline February 15th 2009.

AWARD

A solo show next winter 2009 at Bluebird Art House and $1500 to the winner. 1 work in the show for each one of the 3 runner up.

At 9:05pm on 22nd June 2008, Ann Burry said…: hi pedro thanks for your kind comments,its so nice and reasurring to see someone that works like me ,i cannot say where my pictures come from i was told once bt my tutor that my work was automatism, although i think i do have some kind of imput into the finnished painting, i dont know is the answer pedro they just seem to appear,the first colour i put on the canvas is the starting point i then (see) an image as quickly as that, from then on i develope it and there is my picture, i work very fast and can do one in 2 hours usually.
Anyway its nice to talk "art" with fellow artists, it can be a lonely business, Keep in touch. Ann

I am drawn to re-evaluate myself as a person every so often but my next work will include the mass collective who have undergone the migration experience in the next series. I guess there will be more people who share this experience, no matter what culture. Your work is highly imaginative too and looks like you have naturalabstract figurative talent in painting.
