I am...: Trying to get back to life.

About my artwork: I lost my inspiration for so long, it's nice to start stretching my mind again. I paint primarily in acrylics, and try to do nothing more than make myself laugh.

Interests: Books, movies, science fiction, going to Comic Con, dogs, dogs, and more dogs, being outside, balance, traveling to unexplored places as well as the familiar, esoteric realms, odd people, techno, energy (as in healing and nature - not electricity and wattage - although I like those as well), fire, dancing, movement, quiet, Marilyn Monroe

Backin the Saddle

After months of being "offline" I am finally back. Part of what took me away was summer months in Chicago and needing to be outdoors (before the winter comes and I am stuck inside for months), and I went to Russia for 2 weeks - a most facinating place. I look forward to gettnig back to my art and the rest of the world.

1-25-08 Prospectus Art Gallery

The setting is an intimate art gallery in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago.

I had been here once before, during the open studio tour in the fall of 2006. It's a decent space, not huge, not tiny. What it might lack in square footage is made up with the kind of work that is on show.

Granted, I have only been there twice, but I left the gallery impressed more or less with what I had seen.

1-22-08 Buddy Guy Show

I have been in Chicago for over a year now. I have been trying to be the best "Chicagoan" I can be by taking in all the must do's that Chicago has to offer.

I will admit that I am lax in a lot of things that I should be experiencing here in this fantastic city. There is just SO much to do here - and all of it is a must. Working just seems to get in the way of my experiencing this city in any sort of reasonable amount of time.
