- generally happy.Especially when out on the mountains, on horseback or sailing. Its even better when my dogs are with me.I am also an art teacher and enjoy the interaction with my students.
- About my artwork
- its been described as spiritually, ecologically and socially inclined; I am at present exploring the concern with rubbish, landfill and recycling and am setting up some art events in connection with this. I am also enjoying playing with colour as a metaphor for emotions and love the idea of layering and trapping different media appropriate to the subject or focus.

a psychopath or is it a sociopath?
A family problem reveals a psychopath/sociopath in their true colours. Something that one expects happens to others or in a novel, but hell, apparently not. A financial parasite, with debt and a several aliases.No committment. Unable to care....but full of talk of how she would. Unreliable. And capable of feigning sugar sweet sickly emotion that isnt backed up. Tells you what you want to hear. Weaves stories of wonderland. oh perhaps I'm just tired....or tied
I am really, really tired of being in the company of people who think art should be chocolate boxy......or for that matter that life should be. I suppose that what it boils down to. Perhaps they have had the priviledge(a debateable state) of living such a life, perhaps they are scared and are hiding from the horrors...perhaps they are scared of people who voice strong opinions or have strong emotions or thoughts.Well fie on them. art is simply a means of communicating....life can be wonderful if… Continue

apocalyse now..
well, my adorable students have completed both their coursework and exam, so a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders-certainly there will be some very high marks and I think/hope the less strong have passed. Back to my work; an exhibition late September means I need a decent collection to show and now its quieter, I must complete the Gawain illustrations for the book to be published. in the beginning
if there truly is something called a beginning, then this the beginning of my blog. Being overworked and underpaid will probably limit the amount of entries, most observations tend to go immediately into a small sketchbook that I always carry with me. Even up mountains and when long distance sailing ( however to date I havent managed longer than about 250 miles in any one leg...but who knows, there is a vast and beautiful world out there waiting to be explored) I am presently desperate for insp… Continue
