I am...: Yelena was born in 1978 in Urals in a small town where during the cold war Russians build their first atomic bomb. . In 1995-2000 Yelena studied Set Design in Moscow, then worked a an assistant to a theatre designer and taught part time. Since 2003 Yelena lives in the UK. , she is a member of Oldknows Studio Group in Nottingham, she takes part in exhibitions in the UK, Europe and Russia (Moscow Yung Artist Biennal, july 2008).

About my artwork: Yelena produces video streams of drawings, (sequentional ) wall–running paintings, monthly edition of A-Musing artist book and performances that comment on the position of the artist–maker (painter) in the 21 century.

Interests: I'm a science–dreamer, interested in complexity, noise, soundscapes and time.
