If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?: Installation, Painting, Sculpture

About my artwork: I know it's unfashionable but I'm into good old-fashioned self-expression. I believe my work represents the fragmented world we live in. There is a totality there but it's seen through many fragments of exprerience.

Artists I like: Appel, Basquiat, Tapies, Hirst, Emin, Hirschhorn, not necessarily in any order.

Interests: Absolutely riveted by the primitive. I despise our decadent over saturated fat-arsed western culture and truly believe our time really is up. Our priveleged way of life is disgusting and it can't continue much longer. Therefore I'm fascinated by the thought of giving it all up and becoming as poor as the Chiapas peasant or the Zimbabwean smallholder. Most of the world lives like this. My work is about the anger of the person trapped by his or her situation. I'm trapped in my western world, the poor are trapped in their poor 3rd world.

What exhibitions are good at the moment?: Group show at White Cube, Hoxton Sq.
