About my artwork
Robin Tarbet graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2006 is an artist based in East London. Over the course of the last year he was awarded the Stanley Picker Tutorship in Fine Art teaching at Kingston University and is a familiar face as a Visiting Tutor at Norwich School of Art and Design. Tarbet’s work combines two–dimensional media, photography, printmaking and live film with three-dimensional models and sculptural assemblages. Whilst showing in many group exhibitions, ranging from the Hayward Gallery to on the London Underground network, he featured in last Septembers issue of Blueprint Magazine, and recently had his first solo show at Outpost Gallery Norwich.

Q Do you upload stuff on YouTube, MySpace and such to show off your creativity?

Q Are you 25 or under and interested in getting an international platform to showcase your creative work?

A NOISEfestival.com creates opportunities for new artists and their work to be recognised by industry professionals, the media and a national audience.

NOISE Festival 2008, the Europe-wide media showcase for young creative people aged 25 and under is NOW open for submissions.

It's a bit hit and miss. The most interesting things I've seen so far are at the White Room Gallery. The most interesting people seem to pass through St James Wine Vaults. There is a gallery at top of town called Mauger Modern which is a bit upscale but with some very bold pieces of mixed media. Honestly...the most impressive thing for me to see the BIMF invite Ernst Reijseger. It's like Basquiat played on a cello. We need more of that.

Bye for now,
Luke :)
