About my artwork

My work is predominately figurative and non-traditional portraiture. That’s non-traditional in the sense that they aren’t static pretty pictures of beautiful people. I paint a little and use film and digital cameras, but my main interest is drawing. I like handling the media and getting my hands into my work. Using pastels and a mix of other dry media, I repeat layers and erasures of overlapping images to create my drawings.
