Your work here reminded me of a project I am working on and have been for some time. It involves the idea of self portrait
in fact an image (s) based on my liver, at least the microscopic bit that is a biopsy used to search for iron, or liver damage some
10 years ago. I was diagnosed with hemochromatosis, or iron overload and I asked the pathologist for the images from my
biopsy. I started contemplating a series of images dealing with the inside on the outside. This condition can be fatal so I have been fortunate in the knowledge. I just completed a trip
across Canada which is another part of the art making that I am working on. To promote knowledge of this hereditary condition whilst using the gift that is in the spirit of the art.
You have further inspired me with the image and your process is not foreign to me as I have experimented in the past but not nearly as in depth as you have. Thank you for showing your work here.
Much good energy to you
Vincent
