The Death of God:
Have you ever heard of the madman who on a bright morning lighted a lantern and run to the market-place calling out unceasingly: "I seek God" I seek God!...."I mean to tell you! We have killed him - you and I!
I must instist that meaning must be found withing the context of language. A word in my opinion has meaning not just because of its reference but, more important, because of its sence in the language. The text is by the way Nietzsche's in his story of the Madman, From "The Joyful Wisdom". My point is: Thus we might say, by way of analogy, that the meaning of life is to be fount in the context of our lives- the sence they make and the sence we give to them...Devotion to God answers the question of the meaning of life insofar as one actually lives for God. I don't live for God myself, but I believe that there is a great deal of irony in the way we use language and meaning ...
