What do you think of the new look of artreview.com

I don't know about the new look to the website. The top menu takes up to much space. Before this website looked nice, like an art magazine. Now it looks like a collection of generic icons grabbed from templates. The grey fade in the background is boring. This now kind of looks like every other website out there. I like the minimal retro look of the original site design

Yes ,Nick,
This is the same way for me than Hinc , and more : the comments on the wall are disappeared.
thanks for your help.

Thanks for your prompt response. Yes I see it too but that's not what I asked for. In THEME I clicked on the Dark Slate Template with lime green and red text options and I've got the very white Artreview Default style with (admittedly) my own header.
I hope I've clarified the problem.
Please advise.

MIKE

PS: No not IE as we all know that it doesn't work with Artreview.com. Firefox and XP.
A combination which worked fine until the update and should work now.

Hi Mike - this should now be resolved. We've also fixed other issues today and improved the video section. More news coming soon.

Thanks for coming back to me Nick and for your valiant efforts today. Progress has been made. Yes the problem is partially fixed, in that now one can Choose a Theme, add a header banner etc and change some text colour - but one cannot remove all the default orange text and lineage. If you look at my thumbnail in Edit THEME the text is all red but on the page a great deal of default orange text and lineage remains and there seems no way - at present - to remove it. I am not alone win experiencing this problem. I believe Beppe and Violet Water Dragon amongst others, have the same problem.

Yes thanks.... my videos seem to be OK now. Great. Will you be adding a sound player that starts automatically when the profile page opens - as it did on the old site?

I don't wish to sound ungrateful. I think you're doing a brave job here and almost feel guilty at complaining so much.

Nick,

Thanks, the site as you mentioned is much easier to navigate and neater.

Hi Nick

Yes the site is much easier to navigate and neater but the text of all my personal information went black today and as the background is also black the result is less than satisfactory. I cannot change the text colour in Theme where all text shows as yellow in the thumbnail. Oh and despite this, I still have the obligatory orange text and lineage.
How can this be fixed please? Do tell.

MIKE

whatever work is being done it seems to have made things worse on my profile - now everything has moved to the left side, leaving a big blank space on the right side. I'm still in Firefox on a mac. This problem has been there three days now - are you (AR) aware of the problem??

I agree Alex - except I last posted here outling my problems FOUR days ago and except for a
non sensical email from an anonymous"artreview.com" suggesting I use Firefox (I'd already said that I always have done) and promising to get their "engineers to look into it" - I've had no response.

My page is a mess, I can't change the text colour in the Personal Information section on my Profile Page... so no one can read my bio, statement, favourite cereals etc - nor can I remove the obligatory orange Text and lineage - nor can I edit the descriptions of my artworks - nor can I move between artworks (Next/ Previous) - nor can I find a music player that has an autoplay function... I could go on.

Sorry but I am not a happy bunny and I know I'm not alone. I'm quite happy to be patient whilst these problems are resolved but some feedback would be welcome and the problems have to be acknowledged before they can be resolved. Telling us to use Firefox only fuels the flames. This, I suspect, is a coding problem that has yet to be resolved. I wish they'd stop telling us it's a browser problem i.e. OUR PROBLEM - when its' not.

Hi Alex - you can drag and drop the elements on your page around. Just click the titles and drop them where you want them

Nick, I'm unable to move it around. It wasn't a problem a few days back, but now the right side is blank and I can't move things there. I'll try and do a screen grab and show you...
