Hi Kika,

Hope this helps, I've not tried it myself ... you'll need a webcam, as does anyone linking up, plus all will have to download the webcam's latest drivers, & there is possibly a charge for it but Skype 2.7 has these features:... (whether it is good enough to capture what is happening across a room, as for our screening is another thing...)

Standard features
If you and your friends, family or business contacts are using webcams, you can also make free video calls. You can even call landlines and mobile phones at really cheap rates.

Make free Skype-to-Skype calls to anyone else, anywhere in the world.
Call ordinary phones and mobiles at pretty cheap rates per minute.
See who you are talking to with video calls.
Send SMS messages to friends on the move and set up call forwarding so they can contact you.
Group chat with up to 100 people or conference call with up to nine others.
Search the web with the Google Toolbar (optional install).
Free to download.
New in this version

Leopard compatible - If you have the latest Mac OS X 10.5 then you can use Skype with confidence.

Better video resolution - Your video conversations are now set at a whopping 640 x 480 pixels by default with up to 25 frames per second. If your webcam can handle this resolution you'll soon be appearing in an improved and bigger format on friends screens.

System requirements
Mac computer with G4 800 Mhz processor or faster.
Mac OS X v10.3.9 Panther or later.
For higher-resolution video a faster processor (Core 2 Duo) and a broadband connection with at least 384kbps upload speeds.
512 MB RAM.
40 MB free disk space on your hard drive.
Microphone and speakers or headset.
Download drivers for your webcam.
Internet connection (broadband is best, GPRS is not supported for voice calls, and results may vary on a satellite connection).
Technical details
Version 2.7.0.330 File size 34 MB. Official release. Release date: May 14, 2008. File name: Skype_2.7.0.330.dmg

You are sooo welcome, I'd expect anyone to be thoroughly exhausted by now! Hope the Sandler lads are looking after you?!

If we can't be there physically we will be there with you in spirit :)

And hey, unless here's access there to the widest angle and most movable webcam, get some rest if the Skype ain't the hype! It would be cool to catch the screening on Skype, but if not I'm sure we can live with the photos and video - they've a higher res and durability, plus no time zones!

Enjoy your evening! x

Guys, in my 10+ years of being an artist i have not been a part of such a successful art event. It was truly epic. Tons of people came and everyone loved it and we got lots and lots of positive feedback and Monkey Town loved it and asked us to do more screenings there. We all left glowing and with huge sense of accomplishment. Plus there were like 10 art review people there. Jan even showed up and she is wonderful. The whole thing had an an amazing energy very much reminiscent of the 70's when artists really worked together to make great things happen. Got so much great feedback from our artist peers in New York was amazing. I know i am going overboard but seriously it was that amazing. Like out of a Bette Middler movie. Ok pictures and videos to follow i am sure. Just wanted to make an initial statement and congratulate everyone and thank so much our new best Friend Kika for everything. Everyone involved should give themselves a big pat on the back.

one luv

Hey everyone,

First of all, sorry for not writing earlier, and sorry for not uploading the videos do you before the screening. Our internet actually stopped working yesterday night. Now I have to hurry up because my plane will leave in a few hours... I'll send the files tomorrow.

Anyway, YES, we are still glowing! It was an amazing night. It was a late screening on a Monday night, so we were impressed to see that we had a good crowd!

Alicia, I met you friend Allan, really nice guy, we had a great talk! Marty, I met your brother in law, he was excited to see your videos! Jan came all the way from Elvira and she is the sweetest! Simone also came from Boston. Tim, who lives in Brooklyn, was there too and gave us a nice feedback - he is in the Video Artists group but has not participated of the corpses.

We screened all corpses one after the other, so it was almost an hour of screening. The image&sound were perfect! And the way the place is set up, is that they show the video simultaneously in 4 big screens, one in each wall, so the audience is surrounded by images.

The overall reaction was: they loved all of it, and they felt the new corpses went deeper and further, somehow. so it's pretty much what we are aiming for, right? I'm so happy with this experience, I'll do my best to get more and more screenings for us!

Thanks everyone for the the excellent work!

Beijos,

Kika

PS: I documented the whole thing in video & pictures, will send you as soon as I can.

Great! And congrats to you all, to us all.
Keep us updated what the talk of the town is.
What is the Art reviews reaction? They actually made this possible.
Pictures! Pictures! Pictures!

And of course, how much do we all want to see the final result.

Great
