SCREENING/EXHIBITING THE CORPSES

Hi Video Artists members,

Everyone knows about the Corpse project, right?

So we are finishing 3 more (amazing) videos, totalizing 6 videos, and developing a book on the project.

I'm opening this thread in order to broaden the discussion and options on exhibiting and screening the Exquisite Corpse videos.

Any suggestion, help or interest will be very welcome.

Cheers,

Kika

Courage Kika for your piece and good luck for the event. I'm sad to stay in Belgium but i'll try to Skype.
For DVD, i'm agree with the idea of a donation.

PS: I just gave up on my piece... at least for now. When I get back to Brazil, I'll finish. but I'm happy that everyone else finished so the corpses are almost complete...

hi kika, unless you've been multi-cloned sometime before Canada, how you're keeping everything together is stupendous! ...screen checks, editing all the Corpses whilst on the move and, keeping up with all our correspondences.. :) Hope you can get a couple of hours rest at least before Monkey Town, taking a temporary break on Corpse 4 sounds fine - we need you at Monkey Town (much better than a live Kika corpse appearance - LOL!) Thank you for being such a wonderful, hardworking professional! Looking forward to seeing the full Corpses and good luck for this evening, it'd be wonderful to be with you all! Bjs

thanks, ronee! I don't think I have been multi-cloned, cause I'm sooo tired! hahaha
yeah, tonight will be great. I wanted all of you here with us!

You are sooo welcome, I'd expect anyone to be thoroughly exhausted by now! Hope the Sandler lads are looking after you?!

If we can't be there physically we will be there with you in spirit :)

And hey, unless here's access there to the widest angle and most movable webcam, get some rest if the Skype ain't the hype! It would be cool to catch the screening on Skype, but if not I'm sure we can live with the photos and video - they've a higher res and durability, plus no time zones!

Enjoy your evening! x

oh everyone, I'm sorry! I just checked on Skype and the conference call only takes sound, no video! :(((
but I'll document the screening with both video & photos and I'll send you soon so you guys can see how it went.
I'll also send you by filecentral a zip file with the 3 new corpses formatted for Ipod/Iphone.
beijos,
kika

Hi Kika,

Hope this helps, I've not tried it myself ... you'll need a webcam, as does anyone linking up, plus all will have to download the webcam's latest drivers, & there is possibly a charge for it but Skype 2.7 has these features:... (whether it is good enough to capture what is happening across a room, as for our screening is another thing...)

Standard features
If you and your friends, family or business contacts are using webcams, you can also make free video calls. You can even call landlines and mobile phones at really cheap rates.

Make free Skype-to-Skype calls to anyone else, anywhere in the world.
Call ordinary phones and mobiles at pretty cheap rates per minute.
See who you are talking to with video calls.
Send SMS messages to friends on the move and set up call forwarding so they can contact you.
Group chat with up to 100 people or conference call with up to nine others.
Search the web with the Google Toolbar (optional install).
Free to download.
New in this version

Leopard compatible - If you have the latest Mac OS X 10.5 then you can use Skype with confidence.

Better video resolution - Your video conversations are now set at a whopping 640 x 480 pixels by default with up to 25 frames per second. If your webcam can handle this resolution you'll soon be appearing in an improved and bigger format on friends screens.

System requirements
Mac computer with G4 800 Mhz processor or faster.
Mac OS X v10.3.9 Panther or later.
For higher-resolution video a faster processor (Core 2 Duo) and a broadband connection with at least 384kbps upload speeds.
512 MB RAM.
40 MB free disk space on your hard drive.
Microphone and speakers or headset.
Download drivers for your webcam.
Internet connection (broadband is best, GPRS is not supported for voice calls, and results may vary on a satellite connection).
Technical details
Version 2.7.0.330 File size 34 MB. Official release. Release date: May 14, 2008. File name: Skype_2.7.0.330.dmg
