For my part, it's difficult to invite you in Belgium at this moment because political troubles.
Today, the first minister have quit the governement.
I'm really sad today because my country is splitting in two directions and two communities. French people and Flamish people.
Now, we don't have governement...

John, this is the first I have heard about this. Sorry to hear whenever there is discord in the world. Will this affect your art? The nightmare of living in a George Bush America has driven my art to be much more political than in the past. I have so much 2-d stuff I've made since 9-ll that I am now exhibiting it in a group show on manipulated images. We're having (another yet) corruption scandal in Brazil, so that's really filling all the news here. I did not know that you were having such a hard time in Belgium.
Do you have separatists movements in Belgium? Like French and Flamish people wanting to really split the country?
That is sad, John. I hope they sort this out in a peaceful and intelligent way.

Yes Jan, world politics inspire me. I'm finishing a short movie called 8AM-8PM that talk about african problems and occidental power. But since 14 month ago I intend to do something in connection with Belgium crisis.

Thanks for the link, John. It looks like a problem where the more affluent want to distance themselves from those who are not so well off? I'm sure it's more involved than that, but the brief article seems to suggest this. Is your movie 8AM-8PM inspired by Rwanda?
With any luck, things will resolve quickly and justly for your country. I'll pay more attention to the news (though there was nothing about this in my local paper this morning... have to go to the Internet news for updates).
A few years ago I was trying to get to Trier from Koln, and I accidentally ended up in Vervier. Are you close to that part of Belgium? I'm guessing it is in the French speaking part.

Folks! I love you, we are still traveling around in Scandinavia and you have all this to say and show, im laugh a lot and enjoy when i read all new replys.
We miss Anders In Ängelholm, we were there one day before hes back from Poland.
