Are you a space artist?

Hi there! If you consider yourself a "space artist" or "stellar photographer" in any way, please share with us what space means to you or to your creativity, or... maybe philosophically and cosmologically? Feel free to share how you draw inspiration from the universe (or universes?), and give us your thoughts about what is the role of humanity in the cosmos, etc. If not that, then just ask us (the other space artists) any questions you might have, related to our "spacey artwork" or "cosmic feelings". Or perhaps you would like to share some sci-fi ideas or simply ask how to create a sci-fi cover art or book illustration?

Either way, juts know that Talking is the beginning of everything. Talking breaks the ice and opens doors--sometimes even doors to the unknown.

Hello everyone,

I got into doing space art years ago as a way of illustrating my presentations. The bulk of my work involves processing FITS and PDS files to create my own astronomical and planetary images. From those beginnings I branched out and began creating "space art" from scratch - using either or both 2D and 3D software.

What does space mean to me? Why it's the rest of the universe. That's where our future is. My art and especially my presentations are geared towards encouraging that adventure.

Ad Astra, Jim
