The opposite could be said also, Anselmus. That to fence yourself out could be a better ideal, fence yourself out from the madness of others that deceive you, as some are deceiving even you !

If one hates the world, has no capacity for compassion and only the capacity for self pity, self adoration, self preservation, no capacity for love, if one doubts and sees an enemy in every one they meet ... it's best to be fenced out for sure
