Architecture critic Charles Jencks speaks at the opening of Madelon Vriesendorp's exhibition at the Architectural Association. It's Vriesendorp's first major exhibition in decades, showing seminal paintings and drawings from the early 1970s, when she co-founded and helped set the aesthetic tone for the Office for Metropolitan Architecture, her infinite postcard collection of Americana, and her lifelong collection of lovable accidentally surreal objects she calls "freaks of culture".
