Koons Puppy costs between $75,000 and $100,000 a year to maintain

Tabloid fodder it may be, but out of the reporting of divorce case between collector and foundation owner Peter Brant and model Stephanie Seymour comes the revelation that Brant's huge Jeff Koons Puppy sculpture, costs $75,000 and $100,000 a year to maintain. It is, however, from our recollection, a rather extravagant piece of topiary, and so we would imagine Puppy needs a regular trim. Brant, it is also revealed, donates $216,000 a month to the Brant Foundation, which maintains an art museum across the street from White Birch Farm, the family home where the Puppy also lives.

That's about the same as owning an Irish Wolf Hound. Only they die when they're about eight or something.

The irrigation engineering on Puppy is about the most interesting part.
