About my artwork
I love color and summer. These were my childhood fascinations and I attempted to express it through scribbling and coloring all the walls of my family home. Since then, doodling has become part of my everyday life.
Doodling makes me happy. It inspired me to create these paintings. The process is automatic and absentminded. I would make a rapid section of outlines, choosing color quickly and randomly, while I am only focusing on transferring my emotional energy into the tip of my brush (similar method used in Chinese calligraphy). Then, I would attempt to recreate links between this abstract representation of my subconsciousness into an organic form of reality.
During the process of making these images, the reality of painting is jumbled by shades, shapes, lines, and colors. I will then try to re-establish an order accordingly by re-organizing all the elements, trying different types of order on top of the old one, sometime successful or it might end in utterly chaos. It is through this interesting journey of success and failure, I can pin down a voice of my deepest emotion; where ideas become artificial and thoughts rendered useless. It is this abandon of ideas and thoughts, I can finally enjoy the journey of painting and each day I can discover something different in the same painting.
