I am...
Matthias Staber and 21 years old.
About my artwork
At the moment I try to capture the relationshipp between self and death. Not a vision of death, more what does diing mean to me as long as I exist, how do I feel when I face my personal death?
I express this in my paintings and theatralic projects...
what always inspires my work is the possibility of the human heart, and the feedome of emotional expression..
Artists I like
Ernst Fuchs, Phillip Rubinov-Jacobson, De Es Schwertberger, Oleg Korolev, Bob Venosa,Wols, Todd Bash, Brecht, Satre.......etc.
Interests
Integral Art, Visionay Art, Surrealism, Romanticism, DaDaism, Informel, public space-invasions

Hello my darling... my universe is holding together! I'm not sure if I should be here mind you, the first comments I got were so negative and insulting, but I then checked out who left them and she seems like a completely negative peson who will soon screw herself up before her comments will get me down about my work! I live by a little motto:
Ignore those critics who are too stupid to appreciate the depth of your vision!
I will hang about here... browse... meet... but I'm just glad to have met you and enjoy your messages!
please excuse the delay, above are a few things that you may find of interest. I make little time to see new works, I am a museum whore, its like the books I read, I find a greater connection in the past, what kind of artist does this make me, what kind of gallerist am I? Well since I do very little curating and generally just manage this space, I think I can go along on the path I choose without excuses. I am going next to see the Courbet and Poussin shows at the Met, will most likely see the Johns Gray show as well.
It is 3:41 here in New York City, Thursday afternoon. We are showing a video exhibit in the gallery, the repetitive soundtrack loops all day, from a bird's chirping to a dramatic crescendo, the loop is only a few minutes, all day long I sit here with that sound repeating and repeating, it is a kind of buzzing that I am unable to overlook, like a fly or mosquito buzzing as you are trying to fall asleep.
