Lisa V Robinson: Contemporary Painter
BIOGRAPHY
Lisa V Robinson is an emerging contemporary painter currently based in Westgate Studios, Wakefield, Northern England. She studied Fine Art at Manchester Metropolitan University, graduating with first class honours in 2008. Since graduating, Lisa has proceeded to win the Joan Day Painting Bursary and has been nominated for the New Lights Art Prize. Lisa's expressive work celebrates painting itself as an essentially physical and sensual process. Various sources, such as shop front windows, are used to create an inner vocabulary of visual language, comprising of; forms, lines and gestures, that can then be recalled automatically during the painting process.

Would love to see images of your recent stuff when you're ready. I find your work visually really interesting. I've been getting inspired by the work of Andy Stewart recently (at the Sarah Myerscough gallery). Are you raving about anyone at the moment?
