Wang Gongxin
Wang Gongxin was born in Beijing in 1960 and graduated in 1982 from the Beijing Normal University. He lived in New York for a few years and went back to Beijing where he and his wife, the artist Lin Tianmiao, live since. As one of the pioneers of new media art in China he mainly realizes videos and installations representing various aspects of Chinese culture and society, as well as interface between China and the West.
