I am...: I like to read,make my own books,listen to the stories and tell my own incredible
stories...

About my artwork: I often work with mixed media--- drawings, paintings, video--making my installations helps me to create my own mental space, my own alternative world model of freedom.
Crucial situations, moments of tension, danger often attracted my attention. I believe in moments of exhaustion, where physical and emotional limits of human are tested, a person can experience an emotional and psychological transformation.

Artists I like: Sergei Eisenstein , Pydovkin, Cy Twombly, Mark Rothko, Howard Finster and many others

Open to all artists in all fine arts media we seek to recognize outstanding quality and diversity in the arts.

The 2009 IJC is open to all artists worldwide, age 18 and older. All works must be original. Entries in the following medias will be accepted: Painting, Drawing, Mixed media, Printmaking, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, and Photography.

Entry Deadline February 15th 2009.

AWARD

A solo show next winter 2009 at Bluebird Art House and $1500 to the winner. 1 work in the show for each one of the 3 runner up.

The books I have learnt to make have a visible binding on the spine. I don't know what part these books will play in my work yet but I am in awe of their bookness when they are completed. I will put a couple of pics of them so you can see but I can't do that till next week. Cheers, Aindriu
